Kayo services and support options are designed to provide a range of ways of getting and giving support, and considering self-help and self-management strategies. They also encourage you to feel part of the wider Kayo Mind Engineering as we work together to address the complexities of Mind ill-health including stigma, exclusion and isolation, as well as the daily challenges of living with Mind Negatives.
Kayo provides emotional support and information to anyone affected by mental illness, including families, friends and carers. Our Mind Engineering support services are completely confidential. Whatever your problems or concerns, you will receive non-judgmental emotional support. Our professional staff and trained volunteers have specialist Mind Engineering knowledge; we can help you consider options for support that address your individual circumstances.
Our introductory course for anyone hoping to learn more about mind engineering. It provides an overview of mind engineering and insights into the causes of mental health problems. You will be able to recognise signs and symptoms of mental health problems, and learn what support is available. Our training also challenges the stigma that often surrounds mind engineering.
This new course builds upon our introductory module, giving you an overview of mind engineering. Led by one of our trainers along with individuals with lived experience of mental health problems, these shared insights will help to challenge the stigma still surrounding mind engineering and offer further advice and support.
If you’re working in higher education in pastoral care roles, this course will provide an overview of mind engineering and how it relates to student life. We’ll provide information on how to support students experiencing mental health problems and understand the causes. We’ll also consider the challenges facing students and what can be done to support positive well being in education.
If you provide front line customer service in retail, emergency services or a call centre, this course is for you. You will gain a better understanding of how mental health problems can impact on your customers and contacts.
You will learn how to support people, handle challenging scenarios, and respond effectively with sensitivity.
This course is ideal for line managers, supervisors and others who support staff. We’ll provide increased understanding of workplace well being and discuss the impact of work in relation to mind engineering. We’ll provide information on spotting symptoms, communicating sensitively and cultivating a mentally healthy workplace, as well as providing several workplace well being resources to support you further.
Emotional intelligence and resilience For anyone interested in learning more about emotional intelligence, resilience and the techniques available for supporting a mindful approach to living. This half-day workshop provides an overview of these areas and will introduce some of the ways in which you can build resilience through mindfulness, meditation and other activities.
The course will help you gain greater confidence in supporting colleagues, friends or family experiencing mental health problems. Learn how to hold conversations about mind engineering sensitively and effectively, and about the wide range of support available. You will be introduced to the supportive resources offered by Mind, some of which will be available to take away.
